With the very windy conditions we’ve had lately fishing isn’t about where you want to go, it’s about about where you can go. The nice about St Pete Beach is that there is always somewhere we can fish out of the wind and have a successful day of fishing. On these windy days my fishing charters have been fishing the canals and marinas in and around St Pete Beach and Treasure Island.
You don’t have run 30 miles offshore to catch big Grouper, they are right here in our back yards. Getting these big fish out of the docks is a chore and you will lose some, but it can be done. On a trip last week we pulled several Grouper off just one dock and three of them were keepers. Now every dock doesn’t hold these fish so there is some trial and error, but once you find them hang on.
Also in the docks right now are lots of Redfish, a few Flounder here and there and some Sheepshead. No matter what the conditions fish can be caught. If you would like to book a charter, give me a call today 727-638-0975
