Spring break and is winding down on St Pete beach right now, but the fishing remains really good. We’ve caught snook trout and redfish fishing inshore and kings grouper and cobia on the offshore fishing charters.
Some of the best trout fishing I’ve had was in early March. Several giant trout were caught. Most of the bigger fish came out of the canals while the smaller trout were out on the flats.
We had some awesome snook and redfish days as well. Fishing shallow flats and oyster bars my charters caught fish from 25″-36″. Snook are in season but we like practice catch and release on the snook.
Fishing offshore the catch and release gag grouper fishing was really good was well. Along with the grouper we have caught some kings and cobia. Most of the fish were caught about 6 miles off St Pete beach.
