For most of this month the weather has been great and with great weather brings great fishing. Fishing the waters of St Pete, Madeira and Treasure Island beach my charters have caught, snook, trout, redfish, sheeps head, flounder, grouper, jacks, Spanish mackerel and pompano.
All of the fishing this month has been done with shrimp. Free lined shrimp on the flats has produced lots of trout and mackerel, with some jacks and pompano mixed in. As the water warms and the bait fish starts to move in the flats are going to get better and better.
Fishing around docks in the canals has been productive as well. Using shrimp on jig heads my charters have caught sheeps head, redfish, grouper and flounder. As the water warms the redfish should start move out these areas and on to the flats.
Looking forward to a great spring with tons of action. Give me a call to book your reservation. 727-638-0975
