The end of October and beginning of November provided great Kingfish action off the beaches of St. Petersburg. No monster fish fish were caught plenty of 15-20lb kings to provide lots of fishing action for my charters. Along with the Kings were a crazy amount of Spanish Mackerel and Sharks.
My favorite thing about fishing in the Gulf in the fall is that you never know what your going to run into. In the past 2 weeks we have run into Cobia, Tripletail and a school of giant Redfish.
We are finding the Tripletail while riding from spot to spot. They like to hang out under the crab trap buoys and when spotted will almost always eat what we have to offer. We have to keep our eyes open because in the fall massive schools of breeder Redfish are moving up our coat line. Most of these fish are from 20 to 30lbs and its an amazing thing to see.
The weather is starting to cool down so the beach fishing will start to slow down a little, but there will still be some great fishing action.
